The IFD550 has all the features and functionality of the other IFD FMS systems, including Hybrid Touch, Page & Tab user interface, GeoFill automatic waypoint nomination, and easy Airway flight planning. The difference is an added integrated Attitude Reference System (ARS) that detects changes in pitch & roll. The IFD550 also provides stunning fullcolor, "exocentric" (in-trail) SVS.

Vantage Cirrus Full Redundancy Upgrade

The minimum Vantage configuration includes dual ARS (one internal to the Vantage PFD and one internal to the Vantage MFD), one ADC, and utilizes the existing MAG in the aircraft. Avidyne recommends the optional Vantage redundancy kit be configured. The redundancy kit includes a 2nd MAG and 2nd ADC. This option provides the pilot with 2 complete and independent sets of ADAHRS.
