The AV-HSI (Horizontal Situation Indicator) enables course and glideslope guidance display on the AV-30 to enable GPS and ILS precision instrument approaches and navigation guidance.

The AV-HSI accessory for the AV-30 adds three ARINC 429 channels (2 RX, 1 TX) to interface with most panel-mounted GPS navigators. In addition, the AV-HSI includes four serial ports to support serial nav/comm radios and act as a hub between multiple AV-30.

With the AV-HSI, multiple connected AV-30 can receive navigation guidance as well as synchronized baro setting, heading bug, and OAT data.
