Airtext is a connectivity solution that allows up to 16 passengers aboard an aircraft the ability to send and receive SMS messages anywhere in the world, without the high cost of a traditional internet option. Using the iridium satellite network, a small Airtext box weighing approximately one pound is installed on the airplane and connects to an existing iridium phone antenna.
