Garmin Adds GFC™ 500 Aircraft Approvals

Garmin is pleased to announce it has received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Supplemental Type Certification (STC) for the GFC 500 autopilot in the Piper PA-28-235, PA-32-301, PA-32-301T, PA-32-301FT, and PA-32-301XTC series aircraft. Additionally, select PA-28 aircraft with overhead trim have been added to the AML STC. Intended for qualifying piston single-engine aircraft weighing less than 6,000 lbs., the GFC 500 delivers superior in-flight characteristics, self-monitoring capabilities, and minimal maintenance needs when compared to older-generation autopilot systems.
