Dynon Announces the SV-XPNDR-263
We are excited to announce the SV-XPNDR-263 - a TSO Mode-S Transponder module with ADS-B Out capability that is designed for use with SkyView HDX and Advanced AF series avionics systems. Based on the Trig TT23 compact transponder recently introduced by the Dynon Group, the SV-XPNDR-263 is both smaller and lighter than its predecessors
The new SV-XPNDR-263 is a Class 1, Mode-S Transponder with 250 watts of nominal power output, providing essential functionality along with TIS traffic reception (US only) and full 1090 Extended Squitter (ES) ADS-B Out capability. When paired with a suitable GPS position source, such as the Dynon SV-GPS-2020, the SV-XPNDR-263 meets the FAA’s 2020 ADS-B Out mandates. Now available for experimental SkyView HDX and Advanced AF series systems.
Key Features and Improvements
- Lighter and Smaller: The SV-XPNDR-263 module is 14% lighter and significantly smaller than its predecessors. Weighing in at 10.6 oz, and measuring only 1.5” x 2.6” x 5.9”, the compact size allows for installation in the smallest spaces within the aircraft.
- Installation Compatibility: To ensure maximum compatibility and ease of upgrade, the SV-XPNDR-263 features the same mounting tray screw locations, quick-release mounting tray design, and electrical/antenna connections as previous models.
- Easy Plug-and-Play Integration: The SV-XPNDR-263 offers simple plug-n-play integration into SkyView HDX or Advanced AF systems via simple serial connection, with control and annunciation appearing directly on the pilot’s touchscreen avionics displays.
- Proven Reliability: The transponder operates on 9-33V DC and comes backed by a 3-year Dynon Warranty, providing peace of mind and industry-leading support.
