LYNX NGT-9000

The Lynx NGT-9000 series provide 1090ES (Mode S Extended Squitter) ADS-B Out as well as 1090Mhz and 978Mhz (UAT) ADS-B In. This provides ADS-B traffic (ADS-B, ADS-R and TIS-B) and FIS-B input.

LYNX NGT-9000R

L-3’s Lynx NGT-9000R Remote model is designed for use with newer integrated glass cockpits and displays ADS-B traffic and weather on panel-mounted avionics that use the popular ARINC 429, RS-232 or RS-422 protocols. It is a Mode S transponder providing 1090ES (Mode S Extended Squitter) ADS-B Out as well as 1090 MHz and 978 MHz (UAT) ADS-B In.

ATAS Enablement

ATAS is included with each new NGT9000/9000R

ATAS provides audible traffic alerting at all altitudes. Fewer false alerts due to refined ADS-B data, surveils and alerts below 500 AGL. Certified to TSO-C195b. There are no additional antennas needed.

TCAS I Enablement + Equipment

Like the TAS option, the Traffic Collision and Avoidance System (TCAS I) is actively interrogating transponder-equipped aircraft. Certified to TSO-C118a.

TAS Enablement for NGT9000

The Active Traffic Advisory System (TAS) actively interrogates transponder-equipped aircraft. This is useful when flying outside of ADS-B coverage. Certified to TSO-C147. One TAS directional antenna is required per installation.

Diversity Enablement for NGT9000

Antenna diversity allows for a second transponder antenna that is mounted on the top of the aircraft, which reduces any possible “shadowing” which may occur during certain maneuvers. The top antenna also fulfills ADS-B Out requirements for countries implementing ADS-B monitoring via satellite coverage, like Canada.

TAWS Enablement

The TAWS function continuously monitors the aircraft’s position, altitude, speed, track and phase of flight actively comparing the information to the built-in terrain database. Terrain and obstacle hazards are indicated by cautions and warnings using screen annunciators, aural terrain alerts, and discrete alert lamps.
