Aspen’s new Connected Panel™ technology creates a managed wireless link between your smart devices and certified panel-mounted avionics.
What it does
The CG100 currently provides:
- An in-flight wireless connection between the pilot’s iPad and the Aspen MFD500 or MFD1000.
- When a flight plan is created on the iPad through a compatible app such as ForeFlight, it can be sent to the Aspen MFD for review and then “cross-filled” to the GNS430W and/or GNS530W with the touch of a button.
- Routes can also be amended (“rubber-banded”) on the iPad touch screen and sent to the GNS430W/530W.
What you need
- The CG100 requires at least one EFD1000 MFD or EFD500 MFD with v2.5 or later software. PFDs do not support the CG100, an MFD is always required to allow review of “candidate” flight plans. Transferring flight plans requires at least one GNS430W or GNS530W. The non-WAAS GNS and GTN series navigators are not currently supported. Additional compatible navigators will be announced as they are available.
