When paired with an affordable GMU 11 magnetometer, GAD 29B navigation data interface and select VHF Nav/Comms or GPS navigators, G5 can serve as your primary reference source for magnetic heading, VOR/LOC guidance and/or GPS course guidance — as well as providing distance and groundspeed indications.

RCA1510

The RCA1510 Electric Digital Heading Indicator utilizes an internal magnetic compass to determine aircraft heading. In flight, GPS information is added for a more stabilized and accurate heading reading. Because the RCA1510 has no mechanical gyroscope, it is much more accurate than traditional heading indicators. Unlike a mechanical gyroscopic unit, the RCA1510 is not affected by drifting or wandering.

RCA15EK

The RCA15EK Series is a multi-volt instrument capable of operating from 12 to 30VDC. Because of the lower running voltage, the RCA16EK will operate safely in a larger range of input power for greater safety and reliability.

The RCA-11A series of vacuum directional gyros utilizes an air driven precision gyro that controls a vertical rotating azimuth gimbal. It has been designed to provide a long life of accurate operation even when subjected to severe operating requirements. The RCA11A-8 features RC Allen's "Standard" display.

The RCA11A-8 features RC Allen's “Standard” display along with a vacuum failure flag that will let you know when vacuum has dropped below 3.5 inch Hg.

4000B-30

The 4000B is Sigmatek's standard air-driven directional gyro. As the aircraft turns left or right, gears on the sensing unit and dial shaft translate this rotation into rotation of the instrument’s vertical dial. Left turns produce clockwise dial rotation and right turns produce counter-clockwise rotation

4000H Series

Bootstrap models provide a heading synchro output for heading stabilization applications such as stormscopes, moving maps, and RMIs. This model also may have a "heading reminder" bug to lighten pilot workload.

4000HR Series

Sigma Tek's Directional Gyro with heading synchro output provides a cost effective link to "bootstrap" other instruments requiring heading information for: display orientation to aircraft heading, heading stabilization functions, and other navigational calculations and/or solutions.

4000C (52D54)

The 4000C is based on the same rigid, cast-aluminum frame and precisely machined brass rotor as Sigmatek's standard 4000B model. The autopilot directional gyros are FAA - PMA approved for use in the Century (CFS) CII, CIIB, CIII, and CIV. They are also compatible with Allied Signal - King autopilot installations.
